buying a car around 40 000 to 60 000 $$$$ I dunno what car should i buy, i have a family of 2 and myself, buying 1st hand, please help me out

Basically from my view i suggest u to buy 2nd hand cars.Every 2 or 3 years all brands of cars have new model like toyota recently got vios that make corolla price drop or etc..so when u r to let go ur cars in 3 years time u r actually lossing alot of money cost once new models is out ur car will drop to a very low lvl.anyway im a car dealer feel free to call me just email to [email protected] ur number i will get back to u and give u advise on cars.

Corolla and Vios cater to different segments of car buyers.
If that is not the case, no one will buy Camry liao. No one will also buy the BMW 745i when you have the 520. No one will buy Accord/Civic when you have City.

Buying a second-hand car has its merits if you are sure of the quality of the car. Bear in mind that it's an asymmetric-information situation where the seller knows more about the car than the would-be buyer. There is a risk of adverse selection.

Just make sure you don't get it from unscrupulous second-hand dealers.

Cars are relatively cheap now, so it does not make sense to go for 2nd hand ones. Save all your headaches. Read about the woman who paid $78k for her second hand Stream only to get one problem after another?

i suggest hyundai matrix. it can fit into ur budget and is a family car.

Only thing is don't expect good acceleration, high performance etc. It is a good car from point A to B.

Although is a korean car, but is it comfortable to drive. Go and have a test drive to be sure of yourself.

Also korean cars nowadays are getting better. Ask those who own recently new korean cars and most of them will tell you is alright.

All those who say korean cars sucks are all heard say, hardly anyone of them are direct korean car owners.

You forgot to warn our friend the high FC for Matrix. So the super-high FC for the Matrix is only hearsay only??

For vios and corolla both r 1.5 rite?If both r the same let me ask a question is there anyone out there will buy a corolla which is out for a period?or Vios for the current?both r they same?True enough there is people like corolla but to major people they will like new things.saloon cars is different from euro cars they always have they almost same look BMW 518,318,718 is there any diff in the look?another thing is there is no cheap cars in the world.everyone noes good things nv come cheap.Another thing is there is something call Vicom evalution check in singapore once u buy 2nd hand car u can always ask to have that check is a very detail check on that car so buyers please take note of it.

I do not deny that matrix FC is higher than other cars bcos of their weight and they do not have the fuel saving consumption.

The 1.6L matrix is under power so the engine is over worked hence the FC is higher than the 1.8L.

However, FC also depends on how your driving habit.

My friend who bough a matrix bcos although it is higher fuel consumption, he calculated that the extra $ put into a fuel saving car is >> than his what he will spend for his 5 years of owning the matrix. So, his conculsion is that while buying a matrix is indeed have a higher FC but the total cost in the end is still more than those VTEC, VVTI cars.

Another thing abt korean is dun expect good resell value. Do your calculation with scrapped value and see if you can afford it.

Having said that, I quite like the look of Matrix bar the centre speedometer.

So is ok that one spend $$$ more on VTEC, VVTi etc car than poor FC car to save on fuel cost ? Wink

My bottom line is : which car allows me to save eventually
